In short: your game progress stays on your device. We don't ask for your name, email, contacts or photos. The Google Play version shows optional ads through Google AdMob and handles purchases through Google Play. The free itch.io version has no ads and no purchases.
1. What the game stores on your device
Your progress (items, buildings, coins, gems, crew and settings) is saved on your phone, computer or in your browser. We do not run our own servers and do not collect your name, email address, contacts or photos.
2. Purchases (Google Play version)
In-app purchases are handled by Google Play. We receive a confirmation that a purchase happened so we can deliver it in the game. We never see your payment details. Purchase history is kept by Google under Google's privacy policy.
3. Ads (Google Play version)
The game offers optional rewarded ads through Google AdMob: you choose to watch one in exchange for an in-game reward. To show and measure ads, AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID, device information and approximate location (from your IP address). In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland we ask for your consent before personalised ads are shown, and you can change your choice at any time in the game's Settings. 4. Analytics
To improve the game we may record anonymous gameplay statistics (for example levels reached, purchases made and crashes), linked to a random install ID rather than to your identity. No analytics service is switched on yet; we will name the provider on this page before one is used.
5. The itch.io version
The version on itch.io has no ads, no purchases and no analytics. itch.io itself may collect data when you visit its pages; see itch.io's privacy policy.
6. Children
The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
7. Your choices
- You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in your phone's settings.
- You can change your ad consent choice in the game's Settings.
- Deleting the game removes the progress saved on your device.
- To ask us about, or to delete, any data linked to your install, email hello@ramble.games. We answer within 30 days.
